The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), as part of its
corporate social responsibility of promoting its campaign
against human trafficking in the seaports recently held its
ceremonial signing of the renewal of its five (5) year
partnership agreement with the Visayan Forum Foundation,
Inc. for the operation of the PPA Halfway Houses or the
Bahay Silungan sa Daungan. The agreement allows the VFFI, a
non-government organization, to manage/ operate the PPA
Bahay Silungan sa Daungan or Port Halfway Houses. To date,
PPA has constructed/established eight (8) half houses in
selected areas nationwide to include the one in Batangas,
Iloilo, Zamboanga, Lipata in Surigao, Matnog in Sorsogon,
Davao, North Harbor and South Harbor. PPA General Manager
