A. GENERAL INFORMATION

The Port Terminal of Romblon is the main port serving the whole province of Romblon. It plays an important role in the transport of conventional cargo and passengers to the CALABARZON Provinces, Mindoro Island and Metro Manila area. It is located in the capital toen of Romblon, an island famous for its world class marble. It is situated almost at the center of archipelago. It is 200 kilometers south of Manila.

Romblon Terminal comprises the terminal port of Romblonand covers all feeder ports namely, San Agustin, Carmen, Ambulong, Cajidiocan, Azagra, Corcuenca and Banton.

The Terminal Romblon is within the town proper adjacent to the business hub of the community, thus making it accessible and convinient for shippers and port users.

B. PORT PROFILE

Location. Located at Lat. 12"35"N, Long. 122"16"E. The Romblon wharf lies near the sibuyan sea between the island Masbate and Mindoro. The facility is found un the Municipality of Romblon, Romblon Island. It is 200km south of Manila.

Sea Distance. Appriximately 120 nautical miles from Port of Batangas.

Port Area . The total port area of TMO Romblon is 5,025 sq.m.

Land Access . Completely cemented provincial road located in the heart of town proper.

Entrance channel/Turning basin. T

Physical Environment/Topography.

Anchorage and Fairway. Anchorage is divided into Northern and Southern sector. Northern anchorage is larger and well protected except from SW winds. Southern anchorage westward of town conferred and deep is generally used. Entrance thru Southern anchorage is barely 230 yads wide.

Pilotage. Not compulsary.

Shore Reception Facility. None

Navigational Aids. Lighthouse Operated by Philippine Coast guard.

Breakwater. national breakwater surrounded by mountains

Storage Areas. Open storage areas of 800 square meters.

Berthing. lenght is 160m. Berth capacity is six medium sized vessels. One berth is available for RoRo vessels at any given time.
