FACT
SHEET
A.
General Information.
The TMO manages the port of El Nido
and the cluster ports of Liminangcong, San
Vicente, Taytay, Roxas and Araceli.
The TMO was established as a strategic move to
address the need for port services
as a result of the anticipated local revenues from the
Malampaya Deep Water Gas-to-Power
Project, as well as to cater to tourists and
shippers of fish and fish products
from the rich fishing grounds of El Nido.
The port of El Nido is
used by commercial vessels plying the El Nido - Manila route via
Linapacan and Coron.
Incoming cargoes are household consumption goods while outgoing
cargoes are fish and
general merchandise.
El Nido is a very
promising place for tourism for its world-class islands and beaches.
Apparently, the port is paving way
for El Nido’s economic advancement.
